What is Forest City Events?

Forest City Events is a community-run events calendar for London, Ontario. No algorithms, no ads, no corporate sponsors. Just people sharing what's happening in our city.

We focus on grassroots, community-driven events — the kind of stuff that makes London worth living in but doesn't always make it onto the mainstream radar.

What We List

Community organizing — rallies, town halls, solidarity actions, mutual aid
Arts and culture — local music, theatre, open mics, gallery shows, film screenings
Learning — workshops, skill shares, lectures, book clubs, popular education
Food and gathering — community meals, food drives, markets, potlucks
Movement and outdoors — group rides, walks, sports, outdoor activities
Family and youth — kid-friendly events, youth programming

What We Don't List

Corporate-sponsored events or brand activations
Events requiring expensive tickets with no sliding scale or accessibility options
Virtual/online events unless they are specifically London-focused
Events that conflict with our values of anti-racism, anti-colonialism, feminism, and 2SLGBTQI+ liberation

Who Runs This?

Forest City Events is maintained by volunteers from Forest City Solidarity and friends. It runs on Gancio, free and open-source software for community calendars.

No one owns this. It belongs to the community.
